A little about Me
Early 2020 I started doing paintings on request and just some paintings I enjoyed more and more. I then started doing pieces of work for Medlockgifts and the Manchester Bee.

At the beginning of lockdown in March 2020, I decided to pick up my late fathers paints and brushes and began painting, mainly pictures relevant to the coronavirus and the NHS, I was just doing this to pass time and I found it very enjoyable. I put my paintings on facebook and had great feedback, and here we are.
I studied Art at GCSE (grade A) Irlam High School and A level (Grade B) Pendleton College Left college went to work at Manchester Airport, then became Cabin Crew for Monarch Airlines, I then worked for several different travel agencies before having my children.
I was an OFSTED registered childminder for a few years whilst my children were babies. I then went to work in schools starting as a CAF and TAC coordinator whilst studying at home for a level 4 diploma in social work with children and families (DIPSW with distinction)
I held roles in schools starting at teaching assistant and finishing as Head of year at Atherton Community High School.
Alongside my full time work I spent a few years hand painting glasses and blinging bottles, painting jute bags and making frames (amongst other items) to order in my spare time.

Leigh, I wanted to say thank you, you are a very talented artist and I adore all my pictures, my favourite had to be of my dog Jack who I lost in April, it is an exact painting of my boy. My wildlife pictures, what can I say, amazing, I love all 4 of them and I promise you if I had more wall space, they would be covered with your paintings. Keep doing what you're doing and I look forward to viewing more of your work
Mav the Spaniel
Work Completed for Lindsay Heathcote
My in laws sadly lost their dog and I knew just the person to paint them a keepsake. The likeness of the picture is unreal, even down to the tiny spots on his nose. The paintings had them in tears and even their other dog walked up to the painting sniffing it as if he knew it was him - Thank you so much
Jaguar

James William Mather
A dedication to the passion and skill of my father James William Mather.
James Worked as a heavy plant engineer most of his life, married to Gillian (Mum) for 50 years before she passed away suddenly in December 2016. Dad had always been artistic but never really had time to paint properly before he retired. Dad had a heart transplant in 1997 and was Wythenshawe hospitals longest living heart transplant patient until he died of cancer in 2019. Dad was a Group Scout Leader over beaver colonies, cub packs and scout troops for almost 40 years until shortly before he died. He received awards for his contributions to the community for his scouting. Like myself Dad would just paint things he liked and put them on his facebook page and then paint pictures on request from family and friends.
